Justin Jefferson took the NFL by storm as a rookie, racking up incredible yardage on a regular basis on the way to setting Minnesota Vikings franchise and league records. experts and fans around the world have taken notice, but so have opposing teams.

In fact, a former LSU teammate of Jefferson who is a star linebacker in the league and an All-Pro last season had some big words to say about what the future holds for the young Minnesota receiver.

Recently, Tampa Bay Buccaneers defender Devin White spoke with ESPN’s Jordan Schultz and made a very bold claim about Justin Jefferson. Here is the quote he shared along with a graphic from Instagram.

Of course, Devin White is part of the Tampa Bay defense that gave opposing teams fits last season and stifled the Kansas City Chiefs in the Super Bowl on their way to a victory in Super Bowl LV. He shared the field with Justin Jefferson in Week 14 of the 2020 NFL season when he recorded nine tackles while the Vikings receiver only had four catches for 39 yards in a 14-26 Vikings loss.

Despite that, White sees great things in Jefferson. Saying he will be “the best receiver in the league one day” isn’t something a defender would throw around lightly and is a great show of respect to a young player who has all the tools to be one of the league’s greats.

Expectations will be very high for Justin Jefferson in 2021. Unlike last season, he will enter this year as the starter opposite Adam Thielen instead of coming in off the bench behind Bisi Johnson for the first two games of the year.

Losing the Rookie of the Year award to Justin Herbert should put a little bit more of a chip on Justin Jefferson’s shoulder this season and keep him hungry to prove any doubters wrong. But more importantly, his contributions will help the Vikings in their attempt to fight their way into the postseason.
