Which Minnesota Vikings players have the most at stake as they head into the 2021 season?

Things look promising for the Minnesota Vikings as they look to make an immediate return to the postseason in 2021.

It was a lackluster campaign overall for Mike Zimmer’s men last time out, especially on the defensive side of things. But some returning veterans and impressive additions during the offseason leave plenty of reasons to be encouraged about the Vikings‘ chances this time around.

Minnesota’s aspirations in the NFC North will go hand-in-hand with the situation evolving with Aaron Rodgers. If the Green Bay Packers go into the 2021 season without the services of the NFL’s reigning MVP, then one could argue that the Vikings should be favorites for a divisional title and to potentially secure home-field advantage in the playoffs.

This would make a massive difference with the stands at U.S. Bank Stadium set to be at full capacity in 2021. But Minnesota needs everyone to raise their respective contributions accordingly after flattering to deceive for the most part last season.

Zimmer won’t stand for the same mistakes that blighted his team and the Vikings have enough in the way of quality on both sides of the ball to avoid these complications when competitive action gets underway.

Couple this with a more structured offseason and it’s hard to envisage a situation where things continue trending on a downward curve for Minnesota.

With this in mind, let’s take a look at a few Vikings players that go into the 2021 season with plenty at stake.
