Greg Joseph – K

Yes, obviously it is way too early to get excited about a kicker, especially one who plays for the Vikings. But so far, Greg Joseph seems to be getting the job done.

During a practice last week, Joseph hit all three of his field-goal attempts from 33, 44, and 51 yards away while his competition, rookie kicker Riley Patterson, missed the 51-yarder.

It is a very small sample size, and certainly something to keep an eye on during training camp. But Joseph is at least providing Minnesota some hope that they could have a semi-reliable kicker next season.

Justin Jefferson – WR

It’s totally fair to be concerned about a sophomore slump for Justin Jefferson. That was at least until hit the practice field for this year’s OTAs.

Justin Jefferson has picked up right where he left off with the Vikings and he’s making everything look easy out on the field. Kirk Cousins said on Wednesday that Jefferson has performed great in Minnesota’s practices and he looks like the same play-making receiver he was last season.

We didn’t know what to expect from Jefferson last year, but now we’re expecting him to put up numbers comparable to some of the top receivers in the NFL.

It seems like a lot for a 21-year-old to handle, but he’s already proven that he’s capable of performing like one of the best at his position, and there’s no reason to expect anything less.
