Free-agent wide receiver Golden Tate named a few teams he would be interested in signing with on Tuesday and the Minnesota Vikings were not included.

During the last few months, the Minnesota Vikings have done a good job with filling most of the holes on their roster. However, there are still a few position groups that could use a little more talent before the Vikings hit the field for their first game of the 2021 season.

Finding a better No. 3 wide receiver seems to be something Minnesota could look to accomplish before training camp begins at the end of July.

Currently, it seems like Chad Beebe, Bisi Johnson, and rookie Ihmir Smith-Marsette are the top receivers in contention for the role. But it wouldn’t be a surprise if the Vikings brought in a veteran free-agent pass-catcher to also compete for the third spot on their wide receiver depth chart.

It doesn’t sound like Golden Tate has any interest in signing with the Minnesota Vikings

If Minnesota were to turn to free agency to find an established receiver during the next few weeks, there are still several notable names to choose from, including Dede Westbrook, Golden Tate, and Larry Fitzgerald.

Well, the Vikings can probably cross Tate off of the guys who they could potentially bring in to be their No. 3 receiver next season.

Tate recently appeared on SiriusXM NFL Radio and he shared the teams he would be interested in joining for the upcoming 2021 campaign. He mentioned the Tennessee Titans, Indianapolis Colts, and any team in the NFC West.

This doesn’t mean that Minnesota fans who had their heart set on Tate signing with the Vikings should give up hope. Things can certainly change, especially if he doesn’t get many offers elsewhere.

But for now, expecting Tate to suit up in purple and gold next season isn’t something that seems very likely.
