Drafted guard Wyatt Davis

Getting younger – and better – on the offensive line was absolutely essential for the Vikings this offseason. This was an area of the field that became a constant frustration in key moments, and if the same happens again in 2021, it will hamper their chances of a playoff return considerably.

Fortunately, this was an opinion shared by the front office, who addressed this need early in the 2021 draft by selecting Wyatt Davis in the third round.

The former Ohio State standout could be a Day 1 starter with a smooth transition to the next level. He has all the physical attributes needed to make a lasting impression from the word go, so it will be interesting to see just how much Minnesota puts on his shoulders early on.

Either way, Davis is a sure-fire candidate to be a long-term option at the guard position and a shrewd bit of business by the decision-makers.
