Dakota Dozier – OG

It didn’t take a genius to figure out that the Vikings were going to bring in some reinforcements on their offensive line interior this offseason. They can ill-afford the same difficulties that transpired in 2020, and although the likes of Ezra Cleveland and Wyatt Davis are inexperienced, the upside is there for all to see.

This leaves Dakota Dozier with plenty of work to do at training camp. The former fourth-round pick gave up an eye-watering six sacks and conceded nine penalties from 1,083 snaps in 2020, which unsurprisingly came with a dismal 44.6 grade from the analysts at Pro Football Focus.

Dozier gets one more chance to prove he can turn things around this summer. But in all honesty, he might already be past the point of no return.

Starting Dozier next season might do more harm than good to Minnesota’s chances. However, the coaches already know what they have in the player, so convincing them otherwise is the lineman’s primary objective in the coming weeks.
