Heading into the 2021 campaign, the Vikings offensive line is still one of the biggest question marks on the team’s roster.

It seems like Minnesota is going to roll with Ezra Cleveland at left guard this year. After lining up at right guard in 2020, there’s no guarantee that Cleveland will experience success on the left side of the line during the upcoming season.

If he struggles, the Vikings could be on the lookout for a new starting left guard in 2022, and Laken Tomlinson could be someone the team might consider for the role.

Tomlinson struggled early in his career with the Detroit Lions, but the 29-year-old blocker has found success during his time with the San Francisco 49ers during the last four seasons. The 49ers utilize some of the same offensive concepts as Minnesota, so the transition to purple and gold probably wouldn’t be a difficult one for the veteran guard.
