In honor of the 4th of July, who are the five most explosive players on the Minnesota Vikings defense in 2021?

It’s that time of year again for Minnesota Vikings fans and everyone else around the country. Hot dogs are sizzling on the grill, Old Glory is being hung with pride on houses and in yards, and the night sky is exploding with the booms, bangs, and colors of fireworks.

Yes, the Fourth of July weekend here, and with it comes a time to take a look at the Vikings defense and showcase the five players who explode the same way our favorite bottle rockets and firecrackers do.

Minnesota has added a ton of players this offseason, making narrowing this list down to just five a monumental task. They already had some studs that have made this list in the past, but now the competition has heated up like briquettes after being doused with lighter fluid.

While picking five has become difficult, this is only good news for the purple and gold’s defense. This side of the ball was a disgrace for the Vikings in 2020 and it should be much improved this upcoming season.

So who are the five Minnesota players that will resemble firecrackers this season and be the most explosive members of the defense?
