Who are the early winners from a busy 2021 offseason where the Minnesota Vikings are concerned?

There was excitement and trepidation in equal measure for the Minnesota Vikings heading into the offseason. Their perilous salary-cap situation meant there were far more questions than answers surrounding members of the current roster and whether or not the organization could get the sort of players in who could help from the outset.

Thankfully, general manager Rick Spielman and Minnesota’s front office have been in this situation before. Not the most ideal, obviously, but it did stand them in good stead to make the necessary sacrifices and strengthen some problem areas during an extremely busy period of player movement.

The Vikings roster certainly looks much stronger now than the one which finished the 2020 season. Whether this results in improved production when competitive action begins is another matter entirely.

Either way, it’s going to be a fascinating campaign for Minnesota’s loyal fanbase, who have learned to expect the unexpected in recent years. There appears to be enough in the way of quality to make an instant return to the postseason, but it’s absolutely vital the team avoids the slow start that cost them in a big way last time around.

Without further ado, let’s take a look at five early winners from the Vikings’ 2021 offseason.
