With a good crop of free agents still available, which players could make a sizeable impact for the Minnesota Vikings next season?

The Minnesota Vikings have been busy this offseason, adding plenty of veterans to clean up the roster after last season’s disappointing run. They spent a considerable amount of money to improve the defense with key signings such as Patrick Peterson and Dalvin Tomlinson.

Training camp is just around the corner for the Vikings as they set their sights on a deep playoff run next season. To do that, they need to ensure depth and leadership on both sides of the ball in case of injuries, as they experienced last season. Even with a ton of talent returning from extended time off last season, the Vikings need to continue adding bodies.

Minnesota still has enough cap room to make a difference this offseason. If they decide to extend Harrison Smith before the start of camp, they will potentially have even more money to work with. Luckily for the Vikings, there are still several under-the-radar free agents that could serve a crucial role for the team next season.

You could argue the Vikings still need to bring in competition for the third wide receiver spot and in the middle of the defense. With two rookies getting a chance to start on the offensive line, it might be worth adding some more veterans to help them as well. Which current free agents are underrated options to help the Vikings next season?
