Sign free agent Robert Griffin III

The only reason Robert Griffin III is even on this list is because he is probably the best quarterback left in the free-agent pool. Given his not-so-great history with Kirk Cousins, the Vikings would probably sign Sean Mannion before adding Griffin to their locker room.

However, Griffin would probably love to replace Cousins in Minnesota’s starting lineup just like Cousins replaced him back when the two were both members of the Washington Football Team.

Griffin could also help with the development of Kellen Mond, something he was doing for Lamar Jackson during his last three seasons with the Baltimore Ravens.

Trade for Teddy Bridgewater

Currently, Teddy Bridgewater is under contract with the Denver Broncos, and he’s in the middle of a quarterback battle with Drew Lock. If the Broncos end up giving the starting job to Lock, Bridgewater could become available for a team that needs a signal-caller early in the 2021 season.

He obviously has a history with the Vikings and his exit from the team wasn’t an ugly one. Minnesota was actually hoping Bridgewater would be the franchise’s next great passer before his unfortunate knee injury happened in 2016.

His time with Minnesota didn’t go how anyone wanted it to, so the 28-year-old quarterback would likely love another opportunity to help the purple and gold succeed if Cousins is lost to a serious injury during the upcoming season.
