Justin Jefferson – WR

It didn’t take long for the secret of Justin Jefferson‘s talent to get out in 2020. The wide receiver was an absolute revelation for the Vikings during his rookie season, immediately filling the void left by Stefon Diggs after his petulance was rewarded with a trade to the Buffalo Bills for multiple draft picks.

Teams will now know what to expect from Jefferson, so it’ll be interesting to see how he copes with extra attention coming his way. This is something the player will be all-too-aware of heading into the campaign, but last season’s success is a solid foundation from which to build an exceptional career.

With Adam Thielen now on the wrong side of 30-years-old, the onus will be on Jefferson to emerge as the team’s No. 1 option. In truth, it’s something he’s already done to a certain extent.

It’s also worth remembering that this will be the first chance Jefferson gets to taste a more structured offseason program. This was not afforded to the wideout last summer due to COVID-19 restrictions and should help his preparations significantly.

The sky is the limit for Jefferson, who was a breath of fresh air in Minnesota last season.

His fun-loving approach to football has already seen him become a fan favorite. Now supporters are returning to the stands in 2021, it might make all the difference in Jefferson’s pursuit of greater numbers next time around.
