Kicking conundrum

The Vikings have some kicking issues, which comes as no surprise to anybody who’s followed the team for a significant period of time. Dan Bailey was released as expected after a 2020 campaign littered with disappointment, meaning all eyes will be on Greg Joseph and Riley Patterson at training camp.

There is the option of bringing in another veteran if Minnesota doesn’t like what it sees from either player. Perhaps one that doesn’t quite make a team elsewhere when it’s time to decide the final cuts.

Hopefully, one of the inexperienced pair can step up to the plate and provide the consistency needed. Lord knows it’s been a while since the Vikings had someone with long-term dependability from the kicking position.
