Which players who could be cut by other teams might interest the Minnesota Vikings after training camp in 2021?

This is a nervous time of year for NFL players on the fringes facing a nervous wait to determine their fate when final roster cuts are made following training camp. The Minnesota Vikings have plenty of individuals who fall into this category and how they perform during team drills and in preseason games could make all the difference one way or another.

The Vikings looked poised for significant improvement in 2021 after a slow start cost them in a big way last season. A series of notable reinforcements were brought in this spring to ensure the same problems don’t resurface and there is also the prospect of more new arrivals coming on board off the waiver wire before Week 1.

As the old saying goes, one man’s trash is another man’s treasure.

If those in power see someone who could be of use who doesn’t quite make it somewhere else, they’d be wise to consider it. And miraculously, Minnesota still has a little more than $13.5 million in salary-cap space remaining, according to OverTheCap.com.

Mike Zimmer will know a lot more about what else might be required when it’s time to search for potential acquisitions that get released after camp. There is no margin for error where the head coach is concerned in 2021 after a campaign of underachievement last time around and he won’t hesitate to react accordingly in pursuit of playoff football once again.

Without further ado, here are five potential post-camp cuts that could be of interest to the Vikings in 2021.
