1. Dalvin Cook – RB

Dalvin Cook is coming off of his healthiest, and most dominant year as a Viking. Cook missed only one game due to injury last season as his other absence was due to the passing of his father.

While 2020 was not exactly a memorable year by the Vikings as a team, it was a very accurate indication of what Cook can do for this offense and what we can expect from him in the seasons to come.

Cook’s career trajectory puts him at par with the great Adrian Peterson. In 2020, Cook logged 317 carries for 1,557 yards and a whopping 16 touchdowns. That, along with 44 receptions for 361 yards, put him at 293.8 fantasy points in standard scoring for the season.

Going into the 2021 season, the bar is set higher for Cook. ESPN has him currently ranked as the second overall running back in the NFL for the upcoming fantasy football season behind Carolina Panthers running back, Christian McCaffrey.

Between his high volume in the run and pass game and the desire of Minnesota to run the ball, Cook is as good a fantasy pick this year as you will find. Not only is he the best option on the Vikings roster, but he might also be the No. 1 player in all of fantasy football this year.
