2. Justin Jefferson – WR

I would say Justin Jefferson is poised for a breakout year following his stellar rookie season. But Jefferson’s rookie campaign was actually his breakout season, and this year, he is just going to set the league on fire as a big contributor in the Vikings offense.

Pro Football Network recently ranked Jefferson at No. 31 in their Top 100 players list going into this upcoming season. That is five spots higher than superstar Minnesota running back Dalvin Cook — the projected No. 2 player in all of fantasy football for the upcoming season.

Jefferson will be stepping into a great situation in year two with the Vikings. He will see a larger role at the start of the upcoming season compared to what his responsibilities were during Minnesota’s first few matchups of the 2020 campaign (where he didn’t start the first two games) and he will be aligned opposite star wide receiver, Adam Thielen.

Because the Vikings are so successful at running the ball and Cook is such a game breaker, defenses will have to bring their safeties to the line to attempt to stop the run. This will open even more over-the-top opportunities for Jefferson to get behind the defense and create big plays. ‘

When he took over in Week 3 as Minnesota’s No. 2 receiver last season across from Thielen, Jefferson was the No. 3 wide receiver in fantasy football. At the end of the 2020 campaign, he was the sixth-best fantasy receiver. Expect big things from Jefferson this year in a Vikings offense that should be one of the best in the NFL.
