Vikings Training Camp 2021: Top 5 takeaways from Day 2

Osborn again
I’ll be honest, I had heard K.J. Osborn was getting hyped up a bit by coaches on Day 1 of Minnesota Vikings training camp but kind of shrugged it off due to how disappointing his 2020 campaign was as a rookie.
Osborn was a non-factor on offense. He didn’t play a single snap in that phase of the game. However, the disappointment came on special teams, where he had seven punt returns for 27 yards and 14 kickoff returns for 303 yards to go with three tackles and two fumbles.
On Thursday, Osborn once again got noticed thanks to a big catch on a pass from Kirk Cousins. Chad Graff on Twitter captured the 40-plus yard pass completion and it is definitely a solid play that deserves a smile and nod.
Will 2021 be the K.J. Osborn redemption tour? It’s still way too early to make any projection on how the rest of camp and preseason will shake out for the young man, but he’s definitely off to a nice start.
