There doesn’t appear to be a lot of rust on the tires of the van that Kirk Cousins used to drive to his previous training camp days…or his throwing arm for that matter. He looked like he was in solid form for Day 2.

Eric Smith on Twitter went as far as to say that the quarterback was “on fire” after connecting with that beautiful pass to K.J. Osborn as well as a perfectly delivered pass to Adam Thielen that split two defenders.

Ball accuracy has never been a real problem for Cousins. He has completed 69 percent of his passes with the Vikings and is third all-time in NFL career completion percentage behind only Deshaun Watson and Drew Brees.

Cousins used some play-action and bootlegs on his dropbacks that should be a regular part of the Minnesota Vikings offense moving forward, especially if Dalvin Cook can intimidate opposing defenses into playing honest defenses with the threat of a big run.
