Trading for Deshaun Watson comically suggested for Vikings
By Adam Patrick
ProFootballTalk’s Mike Florio believes the Minnesota Vikings trading Kirk Cousins to the Houston Texans for Deshaun Watson is an actual thing that could happen.
It probably wouldn’t be a stretch to say that Minnesota Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins is not one of Mike Zimmer’s top-five favorite people right now.
Since he has not received a full dose of the COVID-19 vaccine yet, Cousins is still in mandatory quarantine after he was considered a high-risk close contact following the positive COVID-19 test by Vikings rookie passer Kellen Mond last week.
If Cousins was vaccinated, then he would’ve been able to participate in Minnesota’s last three training camp practices on Monday, Tuesday, and last Saturday. The whole not being available because he isn’t vaccinated part is what has bothered Zimmer the most about the Vikings starting quarterback during the last few days.
Ludicrous idea of trading for Kirk Cousins for Deshaun Watson suggested for Minnesota Vikings
With everything that has gone on with Minnesota and Cousins recently, some have been wondering how his decision to not be vaccinated could impact his future with the franchise.
Could this result in Zimmer wanting the Vikings to move on from Cousins after the 2021 season? Well, if it were up to some people, Minnesota would attempt to part ways with their current starting quarterback during the next few weeks.
ProFootballTalk’s Mike Florio is not exactly who one would refer to as Kirk Cousins’ No. 1 fan. Florio hasn’t been a fan of the veteran signal-caller in purple and gold since the day the Vikings signed him in 2018.
Knowing this might help understand Florio’s latest suggestion for Minnesota to trade Cousins to the Houston Texans in exchange for quarterback Deshaun Watson.
Yes, that Deshaun Watson. The same guy who has had 22 civil lawsuits and 10 criminal complaints filed against him this year for allegedly committing multiple acts of sexual assault.
Florio believes that the Vikings trading Cousins and two conditional draft picks to the Texans for Watson is “something that could make sense for both teams.”
In what world?
Minnesota fans do not even need to waste their time entertaining this idea because it’s incredibly ridiculous and there’s no other way to describe it.
