Vikings Training Camp 2021: Top 5 takeaways from Day 7
By Adam Carlson

Guess who’s back?
One of the biggest takeaways (literally) for the Minnesota Vikings on Wednesday was the return of left tackle Christian Darrisaw. The mountain of an offensive lineman returned to the field but did not participate in drills.
Darrisaw is expected to be the team’s starting left tackle for the 2021 NFL season. The first-round pick of the Vikings will still be brought along slowly even though the clock is ticking on his insertion into the lineup.
However, Courtney Cronin isn’t sure the rookie will be ready for the season opener. If he isn’t prepared for action, the best options on the roster to get the starting nod are Rashod Hill and Oli Udoh.
Of course, that wouldn’t only be a short-term plug-in. Darrisaw was obviously drafted to be the left tackle of the future for the Minnesota Vikings and that plan shouldn’t change if he isn’t ready for Week 1.
