Let’s get this out of the way right away. Of course, it is nice that the starting quarterback for the Minnesota Vikings returned to training camp with him came an awkward presser full of strange quotes that the media absolutely loved…and hated.
The presser included everything except Kirk Cousins definitively saying he refuses to get vaccinated. Instead, he repeated that social distancing works and that he trusts the protocols that are in place and will follow them.
Most absurd about his statements was the mention of possibly using plexiglass barriers around him to keep him from being exposed to the virus while blaming the smaller confines of the quarterbacks’ room at the facility.
The memes and jokes flowed while the topic of COVID-19 continued to be one of the most divisive topics among people today. One thing fans should like is that Kirk Cousins wants to be on the field for every game this season. Let’s keep our fingers crossed that it can actually happen.
