Proehl Position

The Minnesota Vikings have been struggling a little with the availability of some of their offensive talent this preseason. Several quarterbacks have missed time with COVID-19 exposure while the wide receivers have been dealing with injuries.

First, Bisi Johnson tore his ACL and will likely miss the entire 2021 NFL season. Then, a shoulder injury to young phenom Justin Jefferson will probably sideline him for the entirety of the preseason. Now, another pass catcher had a scary moment at camp.

According to Courtney Cronin on Twitter, Blake Proehl was participating in one-on-one drills and had his knee buckle. Trainers rushed to him and medical personnel carted him off the practice field where he seemingly was in tremendous pain.

Proehl may have been a long shot to make the team’s 53-man roster, but taking another hit to the wide receiver depth chart is not good. The Minnesota Vikings brought him in to get a chance to evaluate his talent but this sounds like a serious injury. He made some plays and getting some attention before this injury but fans will probably know more about this injury later today.
