5 Bold Predictions: Minnesota Vikings vs. Denver Broncos – Preseason Week 1

Nwangwu will find the end zone
If you saw our bold predictions for training camp, you know that Nwangwu was my pick for Mr. Mankato. With a 4.32 second time in the 40-yard dash, Nwangwu has the speed to make a big play but didn’t have an expanded resume coming out of Iowa State.
But Nwangwu was been a quick understudy during training camp and has even grabbed the attention of Dalvin Cook.
“He just hasn’t had as many reps playing the position,” Cook told reporters on Thursday. “In college, he was a backup, so like now he’s getting those reps. You see him getting better and better and seeing things more. I see the confidence growing. When he gets back to the sideline, he knows he had a good run. So you see him growing and I think he’ll be as good as he wants to be.”
Nwangwu’s rise could continue on Saturday even against a tough defense like the Broncos. If Nwangwu can take a carry into the end zone, he could draw attention for a bigger role once the games count.
