This offseason, many fans and experts were projecting how the offensive line would look for the Minnesota Vikings when the regular season rolls around. Odds are that nobody correctly guessed the most likely combination following training camp.

Christian Darrisaw will be sitting out the preseason until he is healthy, making Rashod Hill the starting left tackle in his absense. However, the biggest surprise comes at right guard since rookie Wyatt Davis doesn’t even seem to be in contension for the job.

It seems to be coming down to Dakota Dozier and Oli Udoh for the right guard nod. Will Ragatz of Sports Illustrated notes that Udoh should have the leg up on the competition considering he has been winning the training camp battle.

Dozier started all 16 games last season but was underwhelming as part of a line that struggled to protect Kirk Cousins. Hopefully, Oli Udoh can get the nod for the start and prove that he can hold down the job until Wyatt is ready or establish himself as a full-time starter.
