3 Vikings players earn a spot on the 2021 NFL Top 100 list

The first 60 players of the annual NFL Top 100 list were revealed on Sunday and three current members of the Minnesota Vikings roster were included.
Last season, obviously, didn’t turn out the way the Minnesota Vikings had hoped. Beginning the campaign with only one win in their first six games just proved to be too much for the Vikings to overcome as they eventually ended up with a 7-9 record and a spot on the couch to watch the playoffs like their fans.
Despite the team not being able to win more games than they lost, several Minnesota players had themselves impressive performances during the 2020 season.
On Sunday, three members of the Vikings’ 2020 roster were recognized for their play last season as they were included on this year’s NFL Top 100 list.
Three Minnesota Vikings players rank in the top 60 of the 2021 NFL Top 100 list
In 2020, a total of five Minnesota players were selected to the annual NFL Top 100 list. So far this year, three guys from the Vikings roster were included on the list.
Typically, the release of the countdown is spread out through a couple of days or even weeks. But on Sunday, the first 60 players on the list were announced.
So far, Justin Jefferson, Eric Kendricks, and Adam Thielen are the only members from Minnesota’s current roster to earn a spot on the 2021 NFL Top 100 list.
After hauling in 14 touchdowns last season, Thielen has the lowest spot on the list at No. 80. This is the third time the Vikings receiver has been included on the NFL Top 100 list, with his other two selections coming in 2019 and 2018.
Kendricks showed up next on the 2021 list in the No. 70 spot. Despite missing five games last season, the Minnesota defender proved he is still one of the best linebackers in the league and his performance earned him a selection to the NFL Top 100 list for the second year in a row (No. 83 in 2020).
Of the three Vikings players that were part of Sunday’s reveal, Jefferson ended up with the highest spot on the list at No. 53. He’s the youngest member of this year’s NFL Top 100 list and after a record-breaking performance in 2020, no one is going to argue against his selection.
There are still 40 spots left to be revealed on the 2021 NFL Top 100 list. How many more Minnesota players will be included?
