Which Minnesota Vikings players are closer to getting cut after the team’s Week 1 preseason loss to the Denver Broncos?

Despite the result of the game not meaning anything, it was still disappointing to watch the Minnesota Vikings give up 26 points in the first half and eventually lose their 2021 preseason opener to the Denver Broncos by a final score of 33-6.

Mike Zimmer chose to hold out 30 Vikings players for the matchup, most of them being the team’s projected starters for the regular season. Thanks to this, several members of Minnesota’s roster had a great opportunity to showcase their skills and move up the team’s depth chart.

Just by looking at the final score, however, there weren’t very many Vikings players that took advantage of this great opportunity. Instead, a number of them actually hurt their chances to make Minnesota’s final 2021 roster.

The Vikings still have two more preseason games left before they have to trim their roster down to 53. But after the result of Saturday’s exhibition matchup with the Broncos, which Minnesota players now have a tougher road to sticking around after the team’s final cuts before the regular season?
