Minnesota will pick up a preseason win

Many of these predictions seem pessimistic, but if you watched the loss to the Broncos, you understand why. For all the negative things surrounding the Vikings right now, they should beat a team like the Colts.

Indianapolis will be without their starting quarterback and center. They would be foolish to play some of their other young stars, including running back Jonathan Taylor, and their defense is still looking for Chuba Hubbard after his long run last week. The Colts are a team that’s in turmoil and one that the Vikings should be able to take advantage of.

The score doesn’t matter here as much as the process. If Minnesota’s backups can look formidable throughout this game, it will give everyone more peace of mind about this team.

That should be manageable against Sam Ehlinger and Jacob Eason under center for the Colts, and the Vikings should be able to take a step forward as they prepare for their regular-season opener against the Cincinnati Bengals.
