There’s plenty of juice left in Griffen’s tank

After signing a deal to re-join the Vikings earlier this week, Everson Griffen made his return to the field in purple and gold on Friday against the Chiefs.

Griffen didn’t get a ton of snaps in the matchup with Kansas City, but he definitely made the most of his time on the field. The veteran Minnesota pass rusher finished Friday’s game with one tackle for a loss, one sack, and one quarterback hit.

The Vikings’ coaching staff has to be happy with what they saw from Griffen against the Chiefs, especially since he’s expected to be utilized as a situational pass rusher during the upcoming regular season.

It will be interesting to see how he performs for Minnesota this year. Even as a situational pass-rusher, Griffen has the chance to put up some impressive numbers in 2021.
