Quarterbacks (3)

  • Jake Browning
  • Kirk Cousins
  • Kellen Mond

Once again, Kirk Cousins returns to be the man in Minnesota. The Vikings have been confident in his abilities and have shown that by investing heavily in his services and not putting heavy competition behind him on the depth chart.

Cousins should return and play at the high level that fans expect from him. He is among the all-time career leaders in completion percentage and doesn’t make a lot of mistakes, so the passing game is in good hands with their quarterback.

Following an impressive training camp, Jake Browning has failed to impress in the preseason. He seemed like a lock to be the backup to Cousins, but his lack of production in exhibition play should force the purple and gold to re-evaluate the situation.

Rookie quarterback Kellen Mond didn’t light up the scoreboard during the preseason either, but he seemed to improve with each passing contest and was also able to use his legs to escape some situations. He should eventually overtake Browning on the depth chart.
