With 17 games on their regular-season schedule for the first time ever, how many wins will the Minnesota Vikings finish with this year?

After months of waiting, the 2021 season is finally here for the Minnesota Vikings. This year, the Vikings will be looking to get the bad taste out of their mouth from their disappointing performance in 2020.

Unlike year’s past, Minnesota will have an additional opportunity to add to their win total during the regular season as each team around the NFL now has 17 games on their schedule.

So how many wins will the Vikings finish with during their first-ever season with 17 matchups on their plate? Let’s see if we can correctly predict Minnesota’s final 2021 record.

Week 1

Cincinnati Bengals (Away)

  • Date: Sunday, September 12
  • Time: 12 p.m. CT
  • TV: FOX

Heading into the summer, there were some who felt like taking on the Bengals could be a sneaky-tough matchup for the Vikings to kick off their 2021 season.

However, with Cincinnati quarterback Joe Burrow still working on getting his health to 100 percent after a severe knee injury last year in addition to the Bengals’ current roster not featuring very many play-makers, Minnesota should be able to end their first game of the season with a victory.

Prediction: Vikings win (1-0)
