Week 15

Chicago Bears (Away)

  • Date: Monday, December 20
  • Time: 7:15 p.m. CT
  • TV: ESPN

If the Vikings are undefeated and the Bears are winless heading into this contest, it wouldn’t factor into the final result.

Minnesota found a way to beat the Bears on the road last year, but for some reason, the Vikings typically struggle whenever they set foot inside Soldier Field. The difficulties in the Windy City will continue for Minnesota this season.

Prediction: Vikings lose (9-5)

Week 16

Los Angeles Rams (Home)

  • Date: Sunday, December 26
  • Time: 12 p.m. CT
  • TV: FOX

The Vikings and new Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford have been battling back and forth for years. However, Minnesota is used to seeing Stafford in a Lions jersey. This year, the veteran quarterback is trying to find out if he can lose to the Vikings in a different uniform.

Stafford hasn’t led a team to a win over Minnesota since 2017 and this streak isn’t about to come to an end this year.

Prediction: Vikings win (10-5)

Week 17

Green Bay Packers (Away)

  • Date: Sunday, January 2
  • Time: 7:20 p.m. CT
  • TV: NBC

Lambeau Field is already a tough place to play. So a night game in the middle of winter is going to be a tough task for Minnesota to overcome. Unfortunately, the Packers will get the best of them in this matchup.

Prediction: Vikings lose (10-6)

Week 18

Chicago Bears (Home)

  • Date: Sunday, January 9
  • Time: 12 p.m. CT
  • TV: FOX

Even in the new 17-game season, the schedule-makers still found a way to have the Vikings end the season with a home matchup against the Bears for the 75th year in a row.

Minnesota will likely need a win in this contest to secure a spot in the playoffs. Luckily, they will be going up against a Bears team that is having a miserable season, so getting a win shouldn’t be too difficult for the Vikings.

Prediction: Vikings win (11-6)
