For the second week in a row, the Minnesota Vikings will attempt to get a win on the road. This time their opponent will be a tough Arizona Cardinals team.

Following a disappointing loss to the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 1, the Minnesota Vikings have an opportunity to eliminate some doubters in Week 2 if they can pull out a victory on the road against the 1-0 Arizona Cardinals.

If the Vikings thought the Bengals were a difficult opponent, the Cardinals will likely make it even harder for Minnesota to avoid an 0-2 start to the season.

Minnesota Vikings vs. Arizona Cardinals Prediction Week 2

A lot will need to go right in order for the Vikings to get a win over the Cardinals. Arizona quarterback Kyler Murray is coming off a Week 1 performance in which he accounted for a total of five touchdowns (four passing, one rushing), and all Cardinals pass rusher Chandler Jones did this past weekend was rack up an insane total of five sacks.

Much of the focus heading into this Week 2 battle will be on the return of Patrick Peterson to the desert. Before signing with Minnesota, Peterson spent the first 10 years of his career in the NFL with Arizona, so the veteran cornerback will have something to prove to his old team on Sunday.

Do the Vikings have what it takes to beat the Cardinals in Week 2? Yes, Minnesota has the talent. Will it happen though? Probably not.

Prediction: Cardinals win
