Arizona will send the Vikings to 0-2

The optimistic fan will look at the Vikings performance and see a team on the verge of turning things around. The offense struggled for three quarters, but Cousins came alive to post 352 yards, two touchdowns and a game-tying drive. The defense had some good moments and allowed 14 of their 24 points in a span of 74 seconds. Even Greg Joseph knocked down a 53-yard field goal!

But other facets are going to be difficult to overcome. The offensive line already looks overmatched with Bradbury failing to identify several fronts. Cousins looked reluctant to throw the ball downfield and the defense continues to be patched together by one-year band-aids.

Compare this to where the Cardinals are right now. They’re probably not as dominant as their win over the Titans suggests, but they’re good enough to be a legitimate playoff team. We can’t say that about the Vikings after Week 1 and that could intensify against a team that is definitely feeling itself heading into Week 2.

This game probably won’t be a blowout, but it’s one where the Cardinals have the advantage. With Arizona holding the momentum, the Vikings will head back to Minnesota in another early-season hole.
