Vikings RBs and TEs vs. Seattle pass defense

Not only did Derrick Henry tear apart the Seattle defense on the ground, but he also did it in the air. He caught six passes for 55 yards, the second-most on the team. Cook is an incredible weapon in the passing game and this is setting up to be a huge day for him in that regard.

We have been waiting on the Tyler Conklin breakout game since Irv Smith went down for the season and this could be the game it finally happens. Conklin showed some nice flashes last season and he should be easing into his role as the starter a bit more.

MyCole Pruitt caught three balls for 43 yards and Tommy Hudson caught one for 14 yards in their win over Seattle last weekend. Utilizing tight ends in the passing game and going after the Seahawks’ linebackers looks to be advantageous.

The passing game has been very productive for the Vikings this season with K.J. Osborn emerging as the team’s third receiver. Even when Thielen and Jefferson are limited, Cousins is getting the job done elsewhere. Expect more of the same this week with Conklin and Cook – or whichever running backs get reps – getting larger roles in the passing attack.

Still, the defense will need to make plenty of plays if the offense wants to have a chance to win the game late.
