5 biggest takeaways from Vikings vs. Seahawks in Week 3

Justin Jefferson is back
The first two weeks of the 2021 NFL season were quiet for Justin Jefferson. The man who broke the Minnesota Vikings’ rookie receiving yards record started off averaging only 68 receiving yards per game through his first two contests.
Jefferson exploded back onto the scene in Week 3 against the Seahawks. He was targeted 11 times by quarterback Kirk Cousins, catching nine of those passes for 118 yards and a touchdown. He also had one nice catch and run for 28 yards that put the team in good field position.
While Jefferson was quiet earlier this season, K.J. Osborn stepped up in his place. With Jefferson looking like himself again and Adam Thielen doing his thing in the red zone and picking up first downs, the team looks like it has a dangerous pass-catching trio.
Now, Jefferson has 254 yards and two touchdowns through three weeks. That means he’s on track for 1.440 yards and 11 touchdowns if he keeps his average up. There are bound to be ups and downs for him this year, but that does seem like a fair estimation.
