Which Minnesota Vikings players could be demoted down the depth chart unless performances improve?

Just when the Minnesota Vikings looked as if their season might be spiraling out of control, they pulled it out of the bag late against the Detroit Lions to keep their campaign alive. This came as a result of a 54-yard field goal from Greg Joseph, which could be a sign that the tide is turning for Mike Zimmer’s men at just the right time.

It’s been a bizarre season for the Vikings so far. Not exactly uncommon for a team that is so hard to work out.

One week they’re pushing the undefeated Arizona Cardinals to the limit before unfortunately falling to defeat. Next, the Vikings are struggling to get by one of the league’s bottom-feeders in a divisional matchup.

What comes next for Minnesota will ultimately decide their fate. Not only regarding potential playoff football but also the futures of Zimmer and general manager Rick Spielman in the process.

This is a stacked roster that is a match for any team on their day. But it might be worth the coaching staff making some slight changes judging by the first five games.

With this in mind, here are three Vikings players who could be demoted down the depth chart in the not-too-distant future.
