The Minnesota Vikings will look to climb back to .500 on Sunday against the Carolina Panthers.

The Minnesota Vikings have a chance to pull back to .500 when they travel to take on the Carolina Panthers. While Sunday’s game is important, the more interesting aspect is what’s going on behind the scenes.

The Vikings didn’t look like a team ready to make a playoff run after barely escaping with a 19-17 win over the Detroit Lions last week. While the game ended with Minnesota kicker Greg Joseph being carried off on the shoulders of his teammates, there was a feeling that the Mike Zimmer era had run its course.

Zimmer can turn the tables back in his favor against a Carolina team that is reeling after a 3-0 start. The Panthers have lost their past two games and many of the surprising elements have lost their luster after falling to the Dallas Cowboys and Philadelphia Eagles.

The Panthers still have some tough matchups, however, and the Vikings will have to overcome their deficiencies in a tricky road battle.

In this article, we’ll give you five bold predictions for Sunday’s game and see if Minnesota can go into the bye week at 3-3.
