Which way could the Minnesota Vikings go with their 2022 NFL Draft selections at the all-important bye week?

It’s not been dull for the Minnesota Vikings throughout the 2021 season so far. Something that fans are well used to by now.

Plenty of dramatic finishes and near misses have the Vikings at 3-3 heading into their bye week. A record that could look much better had lady luck shone on them in key moments.

There is still plenty of reasons to be encouraged for Mike Zimmer’s men, who dominated the Carolina Panthers in Week 6 before a late collapse let them back into the game. The play of quarterback Kirk Cousins and an improved offensive line also catching the eye over the first six games.

Couple this with a defense that looks much improved from the previous campaign, and it’s not hard to see why nobody is giving up on Minnesota just yet.

Although the primary focus is on the current season, scouts up and down the country are already casting their judgment on the next batch of college recruits set to enter the NFL in 2022.

This has formed a key component behind Minnesota’s strategy in recent years, with Rick Spielman becoming one of the more active general managers when it comes to trades and generating as many picks as possible to boost their chances of finding diamonds in the rough.

Positions of need are becoming more obvious with every passing game. Using The Draft Network’s mock machine – which has the Vikings picking at No. 20 – we took a look at which way they might go with their draft selections next year.
