Which Minnesota Vikings players are coming out of their bye week with soaring stock?

ln all honesty, the bye week has come at a good time for the Minnesota Vikings. Not only for the players, but this also stands true for the team’s loyal fanbase after a dramatic start to the 2021 campaign.

Vikings fans are used to nail-biting moments that decide games. That’s just the way it’s been for the organization over the last two decades and more.

However, almost every game has come down to the wire, and although Minnesota is currently sitting at 3-3, nobody would begrudge them a 5-1 record had they enjoyed a little more luck.

There’s nothing they can do about that. But there’s a good reason why nobody is writing this team off just yet.

Without further ado, here are five Vikings players with soaring stock through the first six games of the season.

Armon Watts – DT

The Vikings might have something in Armon Watts. His production through the first six games has been extremely pleasing from a rotational role, with the former sixth-round pick making his presence felt both against the run and even in pass-rushing situations.

Watts has an 81.5 grade from Pro Football Focus as a result of his efforts. This is higher than some high-caliber members of Minnesota’s defense, and if things continue trending on an upward curve, it might see the Arkansas product secure himself a starting job in 2022 with Sheldon Richardson and Michael Pierce both out of contract.

At the very least, Watts has earned the right to be a prominent part of the rotation over the remaining 11 games. Something he deserves credit for.
