Vikings OL vs. Cowboys pass rush

In a shocking turn of events, the Vikings actually have one of the better sack rates in the NFL on both sides of the ball. Their defense leads the league with 21 in six games while their offense has allowed just nine. The new-look offensive line has done a masterful job up to this point.

Dallas, on the other hand, has not had much success getting after the quarterback. They currently rank 29th in the NFL with just 11 sacks in six games and are without their top pass rusher in DeMarcus Lawrence. In order for the passing attack to hit its stride, Kirk Cousins needs some help from the big boys up front, and they have lived up to the test so far.

Christian Darrisaw finally has a grip on the Vikings’ left tackle job and shouldn’t look back. In his limited time during his rookie season, Darrisaw has looked like the player Minnesota expected when they took him in the first round. He is a difference-maker on the offensive line and will be for a very long time.

The Vikings have to win this game with their offense. The Cowboys are going to put up points offensively so the only way to pull out the win is to limit the turnovers and create big plays in the passing game. That all starts in the trenches.
