A favorable scheme to attack

The Cowboys’ defense loves playing man defense against receivers. They have found a lot of success doing this against their opponents so far and likely won’t change things up too much coming back from their bye week.

This approach would play right into the hands of Kirk Cousins, Adam Thielen, and Justin Jefferson, who have made a killing against man coverage. Those receivers run crisp routes and Cousins is excellent at unloading a football accurately and at the right time.

Cousins currently averages 294.8 passing yards per game with a completion percentage of 69.5 percent. Considering this team is built around establishing the run and setting up play action, those numbers are even more devastating if Minnesota can get things going on the ground.

The Dallas Cowboys might have some things dialed up schematically to get after Cousins or disguise their coverage, but the Minnesota Vikings should get the better of their opponents if they want to test things mano a mano.
