Patrick Peterson – CB

Grade – A

Patrick Peterson has quietly been brilliant for the Vikings. The best thing for a cornerback in the NFL is to not have your name mentioned. Peterson has been a very reliable member of the Vikings’ defense so far this season.

Numbers-wise, Peterson is having his best season in three years. His passing rating allowed, yards per reception and yards per target are all down from the previous two seasons.

When the Vikings signed Peterson to a one-year deal, the hope would be that he could bring leadership and stability at the cornerback position that had been weakened for the Vikings in previous seasons.

Peterson has exceeded those expectations, he has come in and played incredibly well. Almost close to his brilliant best. If he can continue playing at this level, he could turn out to be one of the acquisitions of the off-season.

Unfortunately, a minor injury has ruled Peterson out for the next few weeks at least as the Vikings have put him on IR. The Vikings will be hoping for his swift return.
