Dalvin Tomlinson – DT

Grade – B

Dalvin Tomlinson had a slow start to the season for the Vikings who were leaking yards running the ball. The biggest issue for the Vikings last year was their inability to stop the run, and the signing of Tomlinson was supposed to improve the run defense significantly, but that wasn’t the case.

Tomlinson already has two sacks for the Vikings which is almost at his career-high for a season (3.5), so Tomlinson has been good for the Vikings. He has been better in pass defense, along with every other player for the Vikings, but he has improved in the run game also over the last few games.

Tomlinson is new to the team, so his slow start is very understandable. The most important thing is that he is trending in the right direction and will soon be back to his run-stuffing best.

Tomlinson is extremely big and frighteningly athletic, so as he gets more comfortable with what the Vikings are trying to do on that side of the ball, he will be an absolute game-changer.
