Emmanuel Ogbah, Miami Dolphins – Trade candidate

Getting a pass rusher through trade can be a difficult task. The most talented and productive players will likely require a lot of trade capital, whether it is players or draft picks, to acquire. According to The Sporting News, the Dolphins may have one interesting player available.

Emmanuel Ogbah has the amazing nickname of “The Nigerian Nightmare” and earned that moniker by racking up 29.5 sacks in 74 games played. This season, he already has 2.5 sacks for the Dolphins as well as five pass defenses.

Ogbah would likely only be a one-year rental for Minnesota. In a contract year, he will likely be looking to cash in on his 2022 contract and that could push Minnesota out of the running for his services past the 2021 NFL season.

However, if the Minnesota Vikings want to continue pushing for a playoff spot and feel this team can truly win games, bringing in Ogbah for a combination of draft picks makes sense. At only 27 years old, he might be worth investing in long-term as well if he proves to be a good fit for the franchise.

Miami might want to accumulate some draft picks if they are looking to trade for Houston QB Deshaun Watson as well. And since they only have one win this season, getting something for their asset would be wise for their rebuild.
