Melvin Ingram, Pittsburgh Steelers – Trade candidate

Despite having some great talent and a solid resume, Melvin Ingram hasn’t been a good fit for the Steelers. Through six games played, he has only managed one sack and ten combined tackles, which is likely disappointing for both parties involved.

Ingram played defensive end with the Chargers and had some great seasons there. He was a Pro Bowl selection three years running from 2017-2019 and produced double-digit single-season sack totals twice in his career.

CBS Sports reports that the Steelers are actively looking to move “SupaMelvin” before the trade deadline. after he was inactive in Week 8. They also shared a report that he is unhappy with how often he is being used and the two sides would likely be best to part ways.

He was on Pittsburgh’s injury report in Week 8 with a groin ailment, but that shouldn’t be a major concern to anyone trading for him. However, for a team that needs a full-time pass-rusher, Ingram might be worth a try.

*(Update: Ingram was traded to the Kansas City Chiefs on Tuesday.)
