Tashawn Bower, New England Patriots – Practice squad

Familiar faces can be nice for teams looking to bring talent to a roster and Tashawn Bower had some flashy plays in the preseason for the purple and gold that opened eyes but has yet to make a big impact in regular-season play.

If the Minnesota Vikings were to sign Bower back to the team, he would not be a starter. He would provide depth and potential. This would mean the team trusts D.J. Wonnum or one of the other defensive ends on the roster to take that starting gig.

Bower is only 26 years old and has four years of experience in the NFL. He only has 19 combined tackles (three for a loss), one pass defense, and one sack in fifteen games played but his potential is still interesting as long as they trust Griffen and company to do their jobs while Bower continues to learn and gain experience.

While many people will be looking for the Vikings to look for a new starter, this route is more likely since the team wouldn’t have a lot of salary cop they would need and wouldn’t give up any assets in a trade.
