It’s not surprising to see Breeland on the disappointing list. The guy has been one of the biggest disappointments on the 2021 Minnesota Vikings and that continued against the Cowboys.

Breeland was giving his man a huge cushion on just about every single play, resulting in very easy completions for Cooper Rush. Breeland was respecting Lamb’s speed but giving such a huge window for Rush made it easy and gave him confidence. It would’ve been better to stick on Lamb and make Rush throw contested balls, which could’ve led to some mistakes.

Speaking of errant throws and mistakes, Breeland had a couple of dropped interceptions in this one.  He had one go off his chest, that he bobbled up in the air that somehow came down in the hands of Amari Cooper that gave the Cowboys life. For a guy who can’t tackle or cover, he has to be able to make those plays, otherwise, what is he doing on the field?

The Cowboys clearly watched film on the Vikings’ defense and knew that Breeland was a weak link. They exposed this and Breeland had himself another very disappointing performance.
