Dede Westbrook – WR

Before the emergence of K.J. Osborn during the last few months, many believed Dede Westbrook would end up with the role as Minnesota’s No. 3 receiver this season.

Westbrook missed most of the 2020 season due to injury, but in 2018 and 2019 as a member of the Jacksonville Jaguars, the Vikings receiver finished with over 60 catches and 650 yards in each season.

With Minnesota this year, he’s currently on pace to end the 2021 campaign with less than 20 receptions and 160 yards.

Westbrook was also brought in by the Vikings this season for his abilities as a returner. However, he’s only averaging 4.3 yards per punt return in six appearances this year, which would set a new single-season career-low for the Minnesota receiver.

Westbrook is currently scheduled to become a free agent in 2022 and it seems very likely that the Vikings are probably going to let him sign elsewhere.
