After an embarrassing loss, can the Minnesota Vikings rebound when they visit the Baltimore Ravens?
What appeared to be a free win against the Dallas Cowboys turned into a slasher flick for the Minnesota Vikings. Everybody knew Mike Zimmer’s conservative gameplan and Kirk Cousins’s rapid-fire checkdowns were a bad idea, but like a teenager going to Camp Crystal Lake, the Vikings ran into their own demise as Cooper Rush helped Dallas escape with a victory.
If that kind of loss had taken place against Dak Prescott, there would be a lot more optimism. Instead, the Vikings head into Baltimore at 3-4 and trying to find some positive momentum for a second-half run.
To begin that path, the Vikings need to defeat Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens. John Harbaugh’s team is in a much better position, sitting atop the AFC North at 5-2 by doing what the Vikings haven’t — snatching victory from imminent defeat.
