Daniel Jones (Giants)

If you have watched the New York Giants over the past few seasons, you may be a bit disappointed in this one. Daniel Jones has been far from elite as a young quarterback and has not lived up to the hype of his draft selection.

Jones has really struggled with turnovers in New York and the team would be smart to move on from him after this season if they have the chance to upgrade. At the same time, Jones is not the only problem in New York and he is far from the biggest.

Danny Dimes is quite the head-scratcher as far as quarterbacks go. The highs are really good but the lows are really, really bad. For every incredible play he makes with his legs, he suffers an equally poor strip-sack to flip momentum.

Saquon Barkley has not stayed healthy for the Giants and their offensive line has been a disaster since Jones took over the starting job. A place with a bit more stability, such as Minnesota, is the perfect turning point for a young quarterback like Jones.

He has had a pretty good season by his own standards in 2021 but the turnovers are still a concern. He has fumbled seven times in nine games with five interceptions also under his belt. In 36 career games, Jones has fumbled 36 times which is simply unacceptable.

I do not think Jones is the type of quarterback to turn this team around but I do think he is worth a shot if he becomes available. For a team with weapons at their disposal, the Vikings should try taking a risk on a young quarterback to see where he can take them.
